During these Corona days full of uncertainty I am happy to work in my atelier, as always. I feel privileged. I started with using sjablones in the background of this drawing. These are the traces that are left after painting over the sjablone. In my garden nature does not get disturbed by Corona. The Magnolia bursted out with her beautiful white and rose flowers. From the start I made photographs to follow the process of th ‘coming out’.
Now everybody has to stay inside as much as possible it feels like nobody can see the beauty of the Spring. That feels sad. I am lucky to have a garden where I can enjoy nature. It makes me humble thinking of those in less fortunate circumstances.
In this drawing the starling is calling us to come and see the glorious Magnolia. But where is everyone? The drawing has a passepartout and has a wooden frame with glass. This artwork comes with an international certificate of autenticity, signed by the artist
